Third Generation

(1982-1992)

The third generation cars are probably the most common of all the Firebids with production numbers in the 100'000 plus range for a couple years. The days of the Pontiac big block, and other Pontiac engines is over. Instead the day of the corporate engine is in. What a shame, I would love to see a fuel injected 455 cubic inch monster as the power plant for the newer Firebirds. But there is always crate engines.
